Triber (triber.world and the Triber Android app) is run by Softblend, India. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run Triber, and what you can do about it. Questions: info@softblend.in.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (stored hashed), or your Google account's email and name if you sign in with Google.
- Profile: your name, username, photo, bio and the interests you pick, and your confirmation that you're 18 or older.
- What you post: moments (captions, photos, clips, articles), comments, reactions, chat messages, polls and votes, and the tribes you create or join.
- Chess: if you link it, your Chess.com username. We read your public games from Chess.com to keep tribe scoreboards and recaps. Tournament games are played on Lichess as guest games, without a Lichess account.
- Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, a push token for your device and browser.
- Usage: events such as "posted a moment" or "opened a recap", and basic page-view statistics, to understand what works. We don't record your screen or sell any of this.
Who can see what
- Each post shows to the audience you choose: only you, your people, a tribe, or public.
- Tribe posts and tribe chat are for that tribe's members.
- Public posts can be seen by anyone, including people without an account, but aren't offered to search engines.
- Your weekly recap is yours. A share link shows only posts that are already public, plus counts.
How we use it
- To run Triber: your feed, tribes, chat, scoreboards, tournaments and notifications.
- To make your weekly recap. We send your posts that your people can see (never "only me" posts) to an AI service to pick highlights and write one line about your week.
- To send emails you can turn off, such as the weekly email.
- To keep Triber safe: handle reports, blocks and abuse, and stop bots at signup.
We don't sell your data and don't show ads.
